Terms of service
These terms apply when a brand creates an account and uses Passport Studios. By creating an account you accept them on behalf of the brand you represent.
The service
Passport Studios lets brands store product information, request data from suppliers through online forms, review the answers and publish Digital Product Passports with QR codes. The service is in an early access period. Features may change, and we'll tell you before removing anything you rely on.
Accounts
- Keep your password safe and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
- Brand owners decide who joins the brand's workspace and with which role.
- You must give correct company details. They appear on your passports.
Your data
- Your brand owns the data you and your suppliers put into Passport Studios.
- You give us permission to store, process and display that data only as needed to run the service, including showing published passports publicly.
- You can export or delete your data at any time. Ask us if the dashboard doesn't yet offer what you need.
- When you invite suppliers, you're responsible for having a reason to contact them, and for respecting any answer they mark as not for public display.
- We process personal data as described in our privacy policy. Brands that need a data processing agreement can ask for one.
Accuracy and compliance
Passport Studios is a tool. It doesn't give legal advice, and it doesn't verify that supplier answers or certificates are true. You're responsible for the information you publish and for meeting the laws that apply to your products. We follow the EU laws on Digital Product Passports and textile EPR and update the service as they're finalised, but requirements can change and some are not yet final.
Acceptable use
Don't use the service to publish false or misleading product claims, to send unwanted messages, to upload unlawful content, or to try to reach data belonging to other brands. We can suspend accounts that do.
Fees
During the pilot, the service is free unless we've agreed otherwise in writing. Before any paid plan applies to you, we'll tell you the price and you can choose whether to continue.
Availability
We work to keep the service running and your data backed up, but we provide it as it is, without a guarantee that it will always be available or error-free.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profit or fines arising from your products' compliance. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or EUR 100 if you haven't paid anything.
Ending the agreement
You can close your account at any time. We can end the agreement with 30 days' notice, or straight away if the terms are seriously broken. After closing, you can export your data for 30 days before it's deleted.
Changes to these terms
We'll email account holders about important changes at least 30 days before they take effect.
Law
These terms are governed by Icelandic law. Disputes go to the District Court of Reykjavík (Héraðsdómur Reykjavíkur).
